Recognised as one of India’s most respected thought leaders on market strategy and India's Consumer Economy, she has her own consulting practice that brings market and consumer centricity to business strategy development. Rama serves/ has served as independent director on the board of several blue-chip companies including Infosys Ltd., Bharat Petroleum, Axis Bank, Godrej Consumer Products, CRISIL, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, Mahindra and Mahindra Financial services, Titan Industries, Redington Gulf FZE etc. Along with being a member of the governing board and a visiting faculty at IIM Ahmedabad, she has authored ‘We are like that only: Understanding the Logic of Consumer India’, ‘A Never-Before World: Tracking the Evolution of Consumer India’; and ‘Customer in the Boardroom? Crafting Customer-based Business Strategy’.

 
Dr. Rajesh Shukla
Managing Director and CEO

Rajesh Shukla is widely known and well respected for his expertise, in Indian policy and business circles as well as amongst relevant academic researchers and research institutions and think tanks abroad. Co-founded and currently heading “People Research on India’s Consumer Economy (PRICE branded as ICE 360°) to guide public policy with facts and insights about today’s India as MANAGING DIRECTOR and CEO.

He has worked as member and expert in many high power committees Government of India, namely, Expert Committee to examine how Panchayats could be leveraged for efficient delivery of public goods and services, and Steering Group for regular review and methodological guidance for research studies under MNAREGA, Ministry of Rural Development, GOI. Also he has worked as Executive Member of Working Group NSS 65th Round, National Sample Survey Organisation, Ministry of Statistics, Government of India (2008-09). He was a Member of Working Group on Technical Education for Formulation of 11th Five Year Plan 2007-12, Ministry of Human Resources, Government of India (2007).

As the founder Director of NCAER Centre for Macro Consumer Research (NCAER-CMCR), he has promoted and facilitated leading-edge socio-economic research, including collaborative and interdisciplinary research. Having associated with NCAER for over 20 years in primary and secondary data based socio-economic studies (baseline, impact evaluation and longitudinal) and has executed over 30 national level studies covering a range of topics such as household income, expenditure and saving; Income Distribution and Inequality; Financial Inclusion; Tourism; Science and Technology; Public Understanding of Science; Indian Youth; and Energy.

He writes regularly and contributed over 300 articles in financial dailies for last two decades. He has authored 20 books, more than 36 national research reports, a number of research papers and popular articles. Some of his distinctive publications include How India Earns, Spends and Saves: Unmasking the Real India; first India Science Report; Caste in Different Mould; India Youth: Demographics and Readership; The Culture of Science: How the Public Relates Science Across the Globe; The Great Indian Middle Class and The Next Urban Frontier: Twenty Cities to Watch.

He has worked as technical advisor to several reputed national and international institutions such as United Nations Committee on Tourism Statistics, WTO, Spain; McKinsey Global Institute, Washington; Government of Sultanate of Oman; Asian Development Bank, Manila; Yale Centre for Consumer Insight, and so on. He has been engaged in compiling, integrating and analysing GESIS longitudinal datasets of European Countries. He is part of the collaborative research on 'Construction of Global Indicators of Economic wellbeing, social, political and financial inclusion at the London School of Economics since 2002.

He has over 15 years of experience in applying information technology to processes and systems. At PRICE he oversees information technology with wide gamut of functional areas, including infrastructure management, IT policies, information security, budgets, networking, systems administration & implementation, project management across IT verticals among other areas. Prior to joining PRICE, he was overseeing information technology department at NCAER-CMCR. He also worked for several years at NCAER as an IT proessional. Has been IT and Data consultant for national and international organisations.

Pooja Sharma
Head, Administration and Operations

She is an MBA in HR and has over 18 years of experience in the field of administration, specialising in a wide range of industries. She currently heads the Administration and Operations at PRICE. She manages the day to day resources including financial engagements, administrative responsibilities and operational requirements to achieve results that are aligned with the organization's strategic goals. Pooja has held leadership roles across various sectors including Metallurgy, Steel and Iron ore wherein she worked for over 16 years and thus, is able to amalgamate her experience to bring forth optimal solutions for the smooth and hurdle-free operation of the organisation.

Research Fellow

She is Ph.D. in Development Studies from Centre for Jawaharlal Nehru Studies, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. She was awarded UGC research fellowship during her research degrees. Her area of interest includes gender, labour market, employment and rights of workers. She has contributed several research articles across various books and journals, including Man and Development, Women's Link, Fortune Business Review and Asian Journal of Research in Social Sciences and Humanities.

He has professional experience spanning 15+ years, undertaking numerous projects related to the fields of Health and Socio-economic Development with special emphasis on the areas of economic development and demography, self-help groups, rural development, micro-finance & livelihoods promotion, food & social security, etc. Shailendra specializes in awareness generation programs, training & capacity building programs and development & implementation of project plans at the field level. He has worked with key organizations like AMS Consulting Private Limited and EHI International (Formally known EPOS Health India), both of which are involved in rendering knowledge-based services to government departments and international agencies. Shailendra presently oversees all field operations for PRICE.
